No Space for New Players - Gernot Rohr

Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr has stated that he will not present new opportunities sooner in the Super Eagles ranks.

In a latest interview conducted by a famous sports radio, Rohr claimed that he will prosecute the next couple of matches with the devils he knows as against any majestical magical players that could be knocking on the Super Eagles door.

“With the next FIFA window, we will already be in the qualifiers for the (2022) World Cup, so it will not be the moment to try new things with players we have never seen before,” Rohr said on Brila FM.

“You never know what can happen, we will see because I think before the FIFA [World Cup] qualifiers, we would have perhaps a friendly, this is the moment to test new players.”

The first and second rounds of games in the 2022 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers Second Round will be played between March 23 to 31, 2020 which officially are competitive games by standard and the Franco-German who has been criticized for been too rigid time without number won't be taking any chances to experiment.

Recall that Dutch Eredivisie league player of the month and current top scorer Cyriel Dessers just committed his international future to Nigeria and was officially acknowledged by the Nigeria Football Federation on Wednesday and with Lille OSC hitman Victor Osimhen not putting his foot off the pedal, it is left to be seen if Dessers 24 will have his dream fulfilled latest by March 2020.
