Liverpool beaten mercilessly

Liverpool on Tuesday night were mercilessly beaten by Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal game, 5-0 it ended in favour of Aston Villa.

Liverpool team filled with youth players were overpowered by the force of Aston Villa side who showed no mercy to the young Liverpool Starlets as they cruise to the semifinals of the League Cup.
Recall that Liverpool main team already travelled to Qatar on Sunday to kickoff their FIFA Club World Cup campaign on Wednesday in Doha, a tournament they joined at the semifinal stage.

Hourihane opened scoring for Aston Villa in the 14th minute of the encounter before Morgan Boyes own goal doubled the lead for the host in the 17th minute. Jonathan Kodija scored twice, in the 37 and 45 minutes of the encounter to compound Liverpool's woe, as Wesley sealed the victory for Villa in the added time (90'+2).

The Liverpool team that played the game are entirely Academy players, with five making their senior debut under the guidance of U23 team coach Neil Critchley.

After the entire game duration, it Aston Villa 5-0 Liverpool, so it ended at the Villa Park pitch in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal game.
