For the past few years, there has been improvements in Africa Women's Football with the emergence of teams challenging the usual contender Nigeria for the most prestigious Africa Women's Nations Cup Trophy, for this improvements to continue, hence, there is need to have CAF Women's Champions League Competition, which should involve major women's leagues in Africa.
Presently some countries don't have a functioning women's leagues, these countries might also be motivated to setup a functional league which will accommodate more players, thereby improving women's football at grassroot level.
The introduction of the Women's Champions League which will be managed and oversees by the Confederation of Africa Football CAF, will go a long way to improve Africa Women's Football. This is likely going to attract new sponsors, creating an avenue for the girls who do not have the opportunity to play for their national team to showcase their talents at the Continental scene.
In Africa women's football today, the fans are relatively low at match centres unlike Europe where they have the women's Champions League and top teams from different countries meets at the continental scene. The introduction of the Africa women Champions League will attract more supporters for women football as every fans will always want to see their teams at the continental scene making them proud.
This will also create more recognition and improved qualities for Women's Football in Africa, the Basketball governing body realized this and have started the Women's Basketball Champions Competition in Africa for women and this is going to go a very long way in bring recognition to Women's Basketball in Africa and players that are not able to represent their various national teams can now represent their clubs at the continental level.
This is a call to the Confederation of Africa Football CAF to start some new with Women's football in Africa.
