Eden Hazard has caused a stir after he appeared to promise a Chelsea fan he will return to Stamford Bridge once he is finished at Real Madrid.
Eden Hazard completed his dream move to Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer after spending about seven years at the bridge.
While meeting Chelsea fan Frank Khalid at the Real Madrid training ground, Hazard said he would go back to the West London club.Told that Chelsea miss him, Hazard replied: “When I finish here I’ll come back.”
And Hazard also revealed he is keeping tabs on his old club whenever he can.
He said: “When I can I watch. Not all the time.
“But they are doing well, they’re young. Now they can pay for players, they can buy players now.” Hazard concluded.
"Was great meeting @ChelseaFC legend
@hazardeden10 again. He still loves Chelsea & made a promise that he will come back. Just a shame it’s not now. His been so impressed by our academy boys & still follows us - Frank Khalid @FrankKhalidUK on Twitter.
Hazard had an incredibly successful seven seasons at Stamford Bridge where he scored 110 goals in 352 games.
That was reduced to one on appeal and they are free to make signings during the January transfer window.
Hazard won two Premier League titles, a League Cup and FA Cup, together with the 2013 Europa League during his time at Chelsea.
“Leaving Chelsea is the biggest and toughest decision in my career to date. Now it’s in the open I would like to put on record one thing was always clear to me, I have loved every moment at Chelsea and not once did I ever consider, nor would I have left for any other club.” Hazard stated when he was about to leave Chelsea.
Hazard has yet to get groove right in the Spanish La Liga Santander this season with one goal and one assist in eight appearances for the Zinedine Zidane's tutored Real Madrid side as many are expecting him to wear the boots left by Juventus talisman and Portugal National team captain Cristiano Ronaldo.
