Queens Park Rangers youngster Eberechi Eze has denied ever speaking to Super Eagles gaffer concerning his potential international future with Nigeria.
The 20-year-old has been on the lips of the eager Nigerian Footballing fraternity following some tantalizing performances for his club in the Sky Bet Championship this season most especially in their miraculously 3-2 victory over Hull City away from Loftus Road where he earned and scored two spot-kicks in October.
Ebere Eze has since then been tagged worthy enough to become the latest recruit for Nigeria and the Nigeria Football Federation are also relentless in their efforts to fulfill majority righteousness.
Not too long ago, it was reported that Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr gave the skillful lad an opened offer for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho pending his official squad announcement and the player was said to have decline the offer saying he is concentrating on his U-21 international career with the English National team.
Few days back, the President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Melvin Pinnick was in London to discuss possibilities with the midfielder who has emerge as a prime transfer target for top clubs.
" I trained with the senior national team of Nigeria years ago and that was it until I met the president of the NFF few weeks ago. He is a nice man and I am grateful for his support and commitment for me to switch to Nigeria. I will make a decision at the right time”, Eze was quoted as saying.
"No, I have only had talks with the President not with the coach. My mother spoke with one of the assistants of the coach not me. The coach and I since the training camp in London haven’t had any direct conversation “.
