Akwa United appoints Kennedy Boboye as new coach

Akwa United have appointed Nigeria U23 assistant coach Kennedy Boboye as the new coach of the club, following the resignation of John Obuh as the coach of the Promise Keepers on Monday.
Boboye who as worked as the coach of Sunshine Stars, Abia Warriors and Plateau United becomes the fourth permanent coach of Akwa United within three years.

Obuh resigned from his position following the scandalous 3-0 loss to MFM FC of Lagos on Friday. Boboye will seek to turn things around for Akwa United who had a bad start to the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
