Their first game this season was away to Heartland Football Club of Owerri, where they outclassed Fidelis Ilechukwu led side by 1-0 scoreline to record the first and away victory of the season. The second game was against FC Ifeanyi Ubah at the Agege Stadium, where they were almost condemned to the first defeat of the season but finally ended the game in a 1-1 draw.
The feats of MFC FC and other teams who have won away games this season is gradually winding down 'must win home game syndrome' in the Nigeria Professional Football League as Lobi Stars FC also outclassed Kano Pillars FC in front of their home fans. Last weekend, Wikki Tourists and Plateau United also recorded an away victory against Nasarawa United and Jigawa Golden Stars respectively, can we now say the league is getting better?
Fans will expect more away victories as the league enters Matchday 4 on Wednesday.
MFM will continue to work hard and hope on the God of Olukoya 'the Miracle working God' when they host Warri Wolves on Wednesday at the Agege Stadium.
