FIFA U-17 World Cup: Ecuador Dances Pass Hungary in Thrilling Second Stanza

It was goal feast at the Estadio Olympico, Goiania where Ecuador edge Hungary in dramatic fashion to seal qualification to the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

With both sides having their destiny on their hands where a victory is a must for Hungary after a defeat and a draw in two Group B matches while South Americana Ecuador could manage a draw if possible to Advance.
Both teams couldn't be separated in a highly contested first half but things opened-up five minutes after the interval through Andras Németh while the Ecuadorians replied six minutes after the hour mark through the highly enterprising Pedro Vite.

Ecuador were motivated by the equalizer and capitalized on the momentum as John Mercado put them in front two minutes later.

The lead only lasted for five minutes as Andras Németh once again square thing in the 73rd minutes.
With anxiety and both teams desperate for safety, Ecuador's Number 10, Johan Mina Rose to the occasion with the killer goal four minutes from regulation time to send Hungary packing.

The Europeans are the first team to be officially eliminated from the competition while Ecuador are jointly on six points with Nigeria that lost 1-2 to Australia but the Western African are superior on goal difference.
