Former Nigeria youth international Musa Abubakar has designed ways to liberate athletes from their nightmares at retirement with a sports book titled 'After the Game, what next? A guide to an athlete happy retirement that is set for launch this month.
The book, according to Abubakar will provide pills to help athletes adequately prepare for life after sports, living comfortable with ease.
An eleven chapter sports book has been written to dissect causes of retirement from sports, factors that lead to a poor retirement, essential tips for an athletes' happy retirement and lots more.
Abubakar stressed that the drive for the book was as a result of "most athletes' pitiful, miserable and sympathetic situation at retirement which is turning out to be a general phenomenon in the world."
Date for the book launch has been fixed for Saturday 23rd of November, 2019 at the Green Minds Hotels, Utako, Abuja by 10am.
Minister for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Sunday Dare will be the Chief Host at the book launch.
Abubakar also explained that the top sports administrators, retired and active athletes as well as various heads of sports federation are expected to grace the book launch.
Musa Abubakar played for Nigeria U23 between 2002 and 2003 during the qualifiers for the 2004 Olympics.
Manaman as he was fondly called played for top Nigeria clubs including Sunshine Stars, Insurance of Benin, Adamawa United, Kogi United and JS Kabylie of Algeria.
He's Director of leading sports consultancy firm in Nigeria, Success Tiyu International.
