A week after Nathan Jones was sacked, Stoke City have confirmed Michael O'Neill as their first team manager.
The 50-year-old O'Neill still remains the coach of Northern Ireland, the team he led the team to the Euro 2016.
Stoke City believes the appointment of Michael O'Neill will take them back to the Premier League, as Nathan Jones failed to bring the team back to the top flight league.
The newly appointed manager will resume duty on Saturday against Barnsley in the Coca-Cola Championship, but will return for the national team duty when Northern Ireland takes on Holland and Germany to complete his assignment with the Irish Football Association.
The Irish Football Association have also confirmed that Michael O'Neill will still handle the national team if they make the Euro 2020 play-off in March.
