Following Nigeria's elimination from the ongoing FIFA U-17 world cup in Brazil, coach Manu Garba and his entire backroom staff has been sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation.
The team won 2 group games against Hungary and Ecuador but lost the last group game against Australia and the round of 16 against the Netherlands, scoring 9 and conceding 9 goals in the 4 games.
Recall that Manu Garba was the manager that led Nigeria to their U-17 World Cup victory in 2013 and he was promoted to the U-20 team where he led same set of boys to an African U-20 title in 2015 before his team second round elimination at the World Youths Championship in New Zealand same year cost him his role.
