The Zambia U17 National Team were the better side in today's COSAFA U17 Championship final as they beat their South African counterparts Mozambique by 2-0 in the thrilling encounter.
In the U17 tournament held in Malawi, Zambia put up a superb performance and never tasted defeat from the beginning till the end of the tournament.
The Junior Chipolopolo thrashed Eswatini 6-0 in their first group game, and went on to hand South Africa a shocking 7-0 defeat, before a slim victory in their final group game, which saw them defeating the host country Malawi by 3-2.
In the semifinal, Zambia defeated Angola by 2-0 to book a date with Mozambique in the final. The final game saw Zambia becoming the Champions of the 2019 COSAFA U17 Championship in Malawi after defeating Mozambique by 2-0.
