Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has rained praise down on Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen after he handed his defenders a tough night.
Osimhen restored parity for Lille three minutes after the half-hour mark to cancel out Tammy Abraham's opener but it was not Lille's night as Willian struck to hand Chelsea all three points. The 20-year-old has had to work his way to the top the hard way after selling bottled water in the middle of the busy streets of Lagos from a young age.
Speaking after the 2-1 win over Lille, Lampard reacted to Osimhen's performance, "In preparation for this game, watching his performances and now knowing his story as well - he was hugely impressive. I knew tonight would be a very tough night for our defenders. Not just from him but their attacking threat.
"His performance individually was really good. He gave our defenders a problem all the time. He is fast and he has everything in his game. It was tough to play against us. I wish him well. His story was great, where he has come from to now and it looks like he has a fantastic career ahead of him."
