Speaking from his base in Spain, Omeruo posited that the little gesture was just the start of what he planned to do for the Owena Whales in the nearest future as he always have the Club in mind.
_"I have Sunshine Stars in mind, I have not forgotten the team. Long have it in mind to give back to the club as my former side back home in Nigeria._
_"These training materials is just a little start to what I hope to do for the team in the long run. I will still do more. I wish Sunshine Stars and everyone at the Club the very best."_ Omeruo said.
Club's President, Otunba Tajudeen Akinyemi who was on ground to receive the materials thanked Omeruo for the gift, and seized the moment to make a rallying call to the players of Sunshine Stars on the need to work hard for a successful career.
_"We are very grateful for this Omeruo has done. its shows that as our former player he still has us in mind and many like him left this team for Europe to achieve greener pastures, but didn't look back. So we thank him for this and we are grateful to God for his career._
_"To you my players, Kenneth was just like you here years ago; from here Europe and now a super star. I want to again urge you to give your dream the best possible shot with hardwork, discipline and commitment. That way by His grace you will get to the top and remember us (smiling) just like Omeruo._ Akinyemi admonished.
Omeruo is on the long list of players that have earned move from Sunshine Stars to Europe and other parts of the world, including Godfrey Oboabona, Tunde Adeniji, Abe, Dayo Ojo, Kunle Odunlami, Chaona Mohammed, Paul Onobi, most recently Franklin Sasere and many more.
