Super Eagles targeted recruit, Ebere Eze grabbed a late brace as QPR stormed back from a goal down to clinch a fourth away win of the season and move up to fifth in the Championship.
The hosts resisted Rangers’ dominance in the opening exchanges and nearly went ahead when goalkeeper Liam Kelly denied Kamil Grosicki following a swift counter-attack.
Hull eventually broke the deadlock after 30 minutes when a Tom Eaves knockdown enabled Jarrod Bowen to strike home a sweet half-volley into the bottom corner of the net.
QPR pushed for the equaliser and were rewarded a minute before the break. Ryan Manning powered home with the outside of his boot after collecting the ball on the edge of the box.
The second half produced a host of chances, but Nahki Wells had the best of them all when he skied a rebound over the bar after Rangers threatened Hull’s goal twice in quick succession.
Rangers completed the turnaround after 77 minutes when Eze’s solo run saw him eventually brought down in the box by Kevin Stewart for a penalty. He duly converted from the spot. And with two minutes to go, Eze earned another spot-kick when he drew another foul from Stewart before scoring again.
Josh Magennis pulled one back deep into stoppage time, when he was slid through by fellow substitute Jon Toral, and set up a tense finish but QPR held on for all three points.
