Super Eagles won't compete in the next Championship of Africans Nations tournament following a not enough 2-0 victory over Togo at the Soccer Temple, Agege Stadium Lagos on Saturday.
After a scandalous 4-1 defeat in the first leg that took place in Lomé in September, the Home -Based Eagles' had their back against the wall going into the second leg with three goals deficit to March.
Lobi Stars striker, Sikiru Alimi was in firing mood as he grabbed a goal in each half to give the Imama Amapakabo charges 'Ray of hope' but the rusty Nigerians couldn't find the important third as the Hawks of Togo progress 4-3 on the aggregate to the competition that will be staged in Cameroon next year.
