The Nigeria Amputee National Team on Friday clinched the Silver Medal of this year Amputee Nations Cup after losing 2-0 to the World Champions, Angola. The game was a keenly contested one, but the Eagles had to settle for the Silver medal.
The team in the group stage played a 2-2 draw with Angola but could not hold the World Champions in the final of the competition.
Nigeria had a superb outing in Angola and never lost any game until the final day of the competition. The Special Eagles played a total of 8 games, winning 5, drawing 2 and losing just 1. This feat has proved the level of improvement the team have gotten since their early elimination at the last Amputee World Cup in Mexico.
Angola on the other hand clinched gold after defeating Nigeria 2-0, they are now the Africa Champions and as well, the World Champions.
