The Nigeria Amputee Football Team popularly known as 'Special Eagles' are through to the final of the Amputee Nations Cup currently going on in Angola.
Nigeria defeated Tanzania in the semi-final on Thursday by 3-2 to book a place in the final of the competition. They will now take on host Angola today (October 11) in the final.
The previous meeting between Nigeria and Angola in the group stage ended 2-2, but Special Eagles this time are determined to push aside the World Champions and bring home the trophy.
Nevertheless, the team is still hoping to get the response of the Sports Ministry and even that of President Muhammadu Buhari so as to takecare of their poor financial position, the team managed to sustain themselves in the competition due to poor funding, but all hope is not lost as the President intervention may boost the team's financial position. Nigfooty.com gathered that, the only support they have gotten is from the NFF which is not enough to sustain the team.
