Barcelona Femenà attacker, Asisat Oshoala has been declared the new Captain of the Nigeria's women national team.
The official decision to make the three -time African footballer of the year Super Falcons skipper was taken,made and announced by the newly appointed Acting Head Coach, Christopher Danjuma through a Social media short video on Tuesday during the team's evening training inside the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
"As announced by Acting Head coach Christopher Danjuma of the @NGSuper_Falcons this evening, forward @AsisatOshoala is the new captain of the team. #SoarSuperFalcons #Team9jaStrong"
Oshoala 24, was appointed the Super Falcons assistant Captain in June while French -based Desire Oparanozie was made the overall leader that led the team to France for the FIFA Women's World Cup.
Asisat Oshoala is one of the seven foreign professionals invited for the upcoming all -important Olympics Qualification double header that will take place in September 30 and October 6 respectively.
