King Kanu - Brazil vs Nigeria Friendly is a Big Match

Nigerian footballing legend, Kanu Nwankwo has revealed the importance of the fast approaching top-class international exhibition between Brazil and Nigeria.

Speaking through the Nigeria Football Federation YouTube channel, the former Arsenal striker stated that the October clash slated for Singapore is as big as a tournament match-up.

“Every game should be seen as a big competition regardless of the nature of the match. Friendly or no friendly, Nigerians will always expect the Super Eagles to give their best in every game they go into."

“There is a lot of pressure for the players especially playing against a team like Brazil. The Samba Boys are one of the best football playing nations in the world and if the boys can beat them it will be a massive boost for their confidence going into the AFCON qualifiers,” Kanu Concluded.

It could be recalled that Kanu Nwankwo took the World by storm in 1996 in what many considered the greatest Semi-Final of all-time when Nigeria Olympic Male football team miraculously defeated the star-studded Jogo Bonito boys 4-3 with two goals from 6ft 2in legs 'Papilo' at Atlanta.

The only significant senior encounter between the two soccer giants happened in 2003 when the Samba Boy crush the Super Eagles by 3-0 inside the then newly constructed main-bowl of the National(Moshood Abiola) Stadium Abuja.
