Joe Aribo Suffers Nasty Head Injury

Joe Aribo was a first half casualty for Rangers in the Betfred Cup quarter final clash with Livingston after taking a heavy blow to the head.
The 23-year-old required treatment in the middle of the park after an aerial challenge with Ricky Lamie left him with blood pouring from his head.

Aribo was bandaged on the park before being helped off the park with Rangers leading 1-0 from an early deflected Glen Kamara effort.

When he was in the changing room he needed 20 stitches to stop the flow of blood and it could make him a doubt for Saturday's clash with Aberdeen.
The sight of the towering midfielder being helped off will be a concern for Steven Gerrard with a number of key matches coming up starting with Aberdeen in the Premiership this weekend.
The former Charlton man has been a massive presence in the engine room for the Ibrox club since his £300,000 move north from the Addicks.

Aribo was making his 16th appearance of the season for the Light Blues.
Earlier this month he made a goalscoring debut for Nigeria after being called up on the back of his excellent form for Rangers and he is expected to be named in the team for the upcoming Nigerian international friendly with Brazil.
