Super Eagles team B, popularly know as Home-based Eagles have a huge mountain to climb after a scandalous 4-1 defeat to Togo in Lomé as race for Championship of Africa Nations get into top gear.
The Togolese came from behind to stun their highly respected West African neighbour in spectacular fashion after going behind early in the game.
Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer, Sunusi Ibrahim put the visitors ahead as early as eight minutes into the game but the lead couldn't elapse the 16th when Richard Nane put the hosts back into the game.
However, three second half goals from first Richard Nane, who completed his brace in the 67th minute, Tchakei Marouf in the 75th minute and exclamation from Agoro Ashraf in injury ensures that Imama Amapakabo's charges will have a tough task ahead of the second leg next month.
The 2020 edition of CHAN will take place in Cameroon.
