D'Tigress are 2019 FIBA Women's AfroBasket Champions

The Nigeria Women's Basketball Team have emerged the Champions of the 2019 FIBA Women's AfroBasket Championship. The defending Champions defeated Senegal on Sunday by 55-60 points to clinch the title for the fourth time.

Nigeria won the first quarter by 10-14 points, second quarter 14-18 points, third quarter 13-16 points, though Senegal dominated the fourth quarter with 18-12 points, but the victory for Senegal in the fourth quarter was not enough to deny Nigeria of their fourth title.

Evelyn Akhator of D'Tigress was the top performer of the day, she made 14 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals.
