Asante Kotoko of Ghana on Sunday evening sent Kano Pillars of Nigeria packing from the 2019/2020 season CAF Champions League, following a 2-0 victory for the Ghanaians.
A first half strike from Matthew Kelvin Andoh and Second half effort from Emmanuel Gyamfi were enough to compliment the scoreline they had in Nigeria in the first leg and to also book a place in the second round of the competition.
The first leg in Kano ended 3-2 in favour of Kano Pillars, the result in Kumasi on Sunday qualifies Asante Kotoko on a 4-3 aggregate.
Asante Kotoko will now face Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia in the next round of the CAF Champions League.
After the entire game duration, it Asante Kotoko 2-0 Kano Pillars, so it ended at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Kano Pillars are out of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League.
