Confluence Queens in Lokoja recorded their first victory of the season on Thursday, as they defeated Ibom Angels 2-0 in the Nigeria Women Premier League Matchday 1.
A goal in each half of the thrilling encounter were enough to seal the victory for the Lokoja based team. Former Falconets Skipper Famuditi Oluwakemi put Confluence Queens ahead via a spot kick in the 29th minute of the game to end the first half 1-0 in favour of the host.
In the early moment of the second half, John Michael sealed the victory for the home team in the 57th minute.
Ibom Angels will hope to redeem their image in their next game, after 90 minutes, it Confluence Queen 2-0 Ibom Angels, so it ended at the Confluence Stadium in Lokaja, Kogi State.
