Liverpool FC on Saturday night secured their 6th UEFA Champions League title, they defeated fellow English side Tottenham by 2-0 to clinch the title.
Liverpool had a bright start in the encounter with Mohamed Salah getting the first goal for the Reds from the spot just two minutes into the first half following Mane's strike that hit the hand of Sissoko in which the referee adjudged to be a penalty, the kick was well-taken and converted by Salah. The first half of the encounter ended 1-0 in favour of Liverpool.
Tottenham had some great Chances in the second half but were denied by Alisson Becker who had another clean sheet in the thrilling encounter.
The introduction of Divock Origi in the half paid in the 87th minute when his well-placed effort beat Hugo Lloris to double Liverpool's lead with just three minutes left on the clock, thanks to Joel Matip for the assist.
Liverpool was able to maintain the scoreline for the remaining minutes of the game, after the entire game duration, it Tottenham 0-2 Liverpool, so it ended at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid. Liverpool are European Champions at the Club level.
