FIFA WWC: Onome Ebi Equals Another Record - Nigfooty

Super Falcons defender, Onome Ebi has reached another superb hall of fame World Cup mark in the narrow 1-0 Nigeria lost to France on Monday.

Despite the defeat, the Former Rivers Angels defender was able to equal Florence Omagbemi all-time African mundial appearance record in the match played in Rennes.

She is now officially joint-leading African player in the Women's World Cup appearance rankings with 13 games, the same number as compatriot Florence Omagbemi (1991-2003).
Recall that the 36-year-old Chinese based professional became the first Africa Player male or female to feature in five world cups after making the Super Falcons team for this tournament.

Onome Ebi has played in the 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 editions of the FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2008 Beijing Olympics alongside her four Africa Women's Cup of Nations gold.
