Liverpool will be without the services of both Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino for their crucial Semi final 2nd leg game against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League.
Jurgen Klopps confirmed this while speaking with new men when he was asked about the possibility of Mohamed Salah playing against Barcelona.
“It’s not a precaution, it’s a concussion,” said Klopp. “He would not even be allowed to play, so that’s it. He feels ok but it’s not good enough from a medical point of view, that’s all. He’s desperate, everything, but we cannot do it. He can play at the weekend.”
The Egyptian magician was stretchered off the pitch after sustaining a head injury in their Premier League game against Newcastle last weekend while his attacking partner Roberto Firmino is still suffering from a groin injury.
Liverpool have a big task of overturning a 3goals deficit they suffered from Barcelona in the first leg if they really want to make it to the final of the UCL this season.
