FC Barcelona have announced the return of their defender Thomas Vermaelen from calf injury. The defender last time in action was the game against Real Valladolid on February 16, a game Barcelona won by 1-0 courtesy of Lionel Messi spot kick.
Vermaelen was out of action for four weeks before his recovery, an injury which was described by the club as "Muscle overload" injuring his right calf.
The 33-year-old Belgian will missed the trip to Real Betis on Sunday but should be available on March 30 when Barcelona will visit local rival Espanyol in a La Liga game.
Vermaelen career has always been threatened by injury right from his days in Arsenal, but will hope that he can now continue his career without injury.
