Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has extended his stay with the Foxes until 2020. The club announced on Monday that the 35-year-old defender signed a new one-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2020.
The Jamaican made his 700th senior appearance for the Foxes last Saturday against Burnley, a game which Leicester won by 2-1.
This means that Morgan who has captained Leicester City for almost seven years will remain with club until the ends of 2019/2020.
He was also the captain when Leicester City amazingly won the league in 2016, and he was named in Premier League team of the season.
Morgan joined the Foxes in 2012, and has expressed his happiness to have extended his contract with his current team, "so to extend my time here means very much to me and I'm very happy. I can see a very, very bright future for Leicester City," the Center-back said.
