FIFA U17 Women's World Cup: India gets hosting right

Hosting right of the 2020 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup has been awarded to India following a FIFA Council meeting in Miami on Friday 15th 2019.
India will hope to make history when they host the tournament next year as they are participating in the tournament for the first time in the history of Women U17 World Cup.

The successful host of 2017 FIFA U17 World Cup may have aided the country to get another opportunity to host the world.

Before India was awarded the hosting right, the country already had its sights on hosting the Women's U17 FIFA World Cup.
In September 2018, All India Football Federation General Secretary confirmed the country's willingness to host the U17 Women's tournament, "We want to bid for the U17 Women's World Cup and we wanted to understand the procedure. The government had come out with some guidelines in January 2018 so we will send them a letter accordingly," Kushal Das said.

Nigfooty Sports can report that the government of India is ready to host the world once again.

The tournament is expected to hold between October and November, 2020.
