CAFCL: Sikiru Alimi brace ends ASEC Mimisas hope of progressing into the quarter-finals

Two goals from Lobi Stars striker Sikiru Alimi confirmed Asec Mimosas exit from this year CAF Champions League, a win for Asec should have raised their hope of progressing, depending on the outcome of the game between Wydad Casablanca and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Though it's a dead rubber game for the host as the 3-0 defeat in the hand of Mamelodi Sundowns already confirmed their exit from the competition.

Lobi Stars two goals came in the 2nd and 39th minute of the first half, as the second half of the encounter ended goalless.

Asec Momosas finished 3rd and Lobi Stars 4th in group A and are out of the competition, while Wydad Casablanca and Mamelodi Sundowns progress into the quarter-final.
In other group B game Wydad Casablanca defeated Mamelodi Sundowns by 1-0 to go top of group B, as Mamelodi Sundowns finished their group stage campaign as runner up.

After 90 minutes, Lobi Stars 2-0 Asec Mimosas, so it ended at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Nigeria.
