Real Madrid captain and defender, Sergio Ramos, received another red card on Sunday evening in a La Liga game against Girona, the red card came as a result of two yellow cards, taking the number of the red cards he has received as a Madrid player to 25.
Ramos was booked in the 64th minute for a handball inside his own 18-yard-box, but failed to caution himself, as he was handed another yellow card in the 90th minute by the referee, Guillermo Cuadra. The Los Blancos captain appeared to have slapped Pedro Alcala's face as he attempted an overhead kick.
Ramos is now the most sent-off player in the history of European top five leagues. Before now, he had the record for most red cards in La Liga.
