MAO Football Club of Osogbo have aligned some first grade friendly matches to test the newly selected players who were unveiled on Monday ahead of their Nationwide League One (NLO) Campaign, Aiteo Cup and other invitational tournaments.
It will be recalled that the president of the club Mr Horlawale Horladosu on Monday morning unveiled the 25-man squad the club will be parading this season in the Nationwide league Division 2, as well as other invitational tournaments, he revealed that there are many tasks ahead of the team and he's confident that his team will go far this season.
In a meeting with the management, the president revealed that the club will be playing some grade A friendly matches with some well-known club in the Nigeria League to boost the confidence of the boys ahead of the new season and to know their weak points.
The president has confirmed that he has aligned some quality friendly matches for the team, MAO Football Club will face Shooting Stars of Ibadan, Gateway FC of Abeokuta, Magecco FC of Lagos, Alabelewe FC of Osun and Ijesha Golden Warriors of Ilesha. Mr Horlawale Horladosu believes that playing all this teams will put the team in good shape ahead of the new season.
He further urged the players to be ready at all time and believed the matches will give the players the required exposure, it will also give the players an avenue to prove their worth to the people out there, Mr Horlawale said.
