Official: Leicester City sack Claude Puel

Leicester City coach Claude Puel has been sacked by the club management, the Frenchman was sacked on Sunday has announced by the club.

The 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday triggered Puel sack, though in recent week his position has been under serious insecurity.

Since 2019, the former Southampton coach has not won any game at home and has only recorded one win in nine competitive games.
A statement released by the club also confirmed Puel's sack, "Leicester City Football Club has parted company with Claude Puel, who leaves his position as first team manager with immediate effect."

"The club would like to thank Claude for his efforts in leading the team during his 16 months in the role and wish him well in his future career," the club said on their official website.

Mike Stowel and Adam Sadler (first team coaches) will now takeover City senior side and will be assisted by the club's established backroom staff, as revealed by the club on their official Twitter page.
