The Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Friday defeated Niger Republic U20 National team 1-0 to progress at the ongoing U20 Africa Cup of Nations in Niger Republic.
The first half of the encounter was full of actions with both team attacking with great determination, but could not get a goal in the half.

The second half resumed with instructions from both team technical department, but Nigeria were better in the 73rd minute after goal from Adamu Alhassan gave Nigeria the lead. Niger Republic were still attacking the Nigerians so as to restore parity to themselves but the Flying Eagles did well to maintain the lead until the end of the game.
Nigeria now top group A with 7points, followed by South Africa who were able to record 5points from 3games, both Nigeria and South Africa are through to the semi final of the competition and moreover to Poland 2019 U20 World Cup.
Niger and Burundi could only managed 2points and 1points respectively and are in the third and fourth position in Group A.
After 90minutes, its Niger Republic 0-1 Nigeria, so it ended at Stade Général Seyni Kountché Stadium in Niamey.
