Chelsea first choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has been fined one week wages for refusing to be substituted on Sunday evening in the League Cup final game against Manchester City, a game which Chelsea lost 4-3 on penalties.
The 24-year-old Spaniard will now forfeit his one week wages as fine for his indecent act on Sunday. Kepa refused to be substituted with Wilfredo Caballero towards the end of the extra time, every attempts to call him off the pitch by the coach and his assistant proved abortive, as Kepa remained on the pitch for the penalties shootout.
Though Kepa claimed he misunderstood the whole situation and has tender his apologies to the coach, Caballero and his other teammates, and he's ready to take any sanction put on him by the club.
Kepa cost Chelsea the victory in the thrilling encounter, bringing Caballero who is an expert in saving penalties would have saved the day for Chelsea.
