Lobi Stars of Makurdi were on Saturday defeated by Wydad Casablanca of Morocco in a CAF Champions League group stage match, the game ended 1-0 in favour of visiting team.
In the matchday 3 encounter, Wydad got the only goal of the encounter in the 20th minute via Mohammed Nahiri spot kick, after a poor clearance by a Lobi defender brought down a Wydad Casablanca player in Lobi's eighteen yard box.
The first half ended 1-0 in favour of the visitors but the second half ended goalless, though Wydad had another penalty in the 63rd minute of the game but missed by Mohamed Ounajem.
Wydad Casablanca now top Group A with 7points after 3games. Following a 3-1 victory of Mamelodi Sundowns over ASEC Mimosas on Friday, Sundowns are second with 6point while ASEC and Lobi Stars are in third and fourth position respectively.
After 90 minutes Lobi Stars 0-1 Wydad Casablanca, so it ended at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Nigeria.
