Madrid put two past Sevilla to go third on La Liga log

Real Madrid on Saturday evening defeated Sevilla by 2-0 to go third on La Liga log.
The first half of the encounter ended goalless with both team put up a superb performance in the half.

The second half started on a high note with no goal for the first 32nd minute into the half but superb strike from Brazilian Carlos Henrique Casimiro in the 78th minute of the encounter gave Madrid the lead for the first time in the game, a solo pass from Sergio Reguilón Rodríquez assisted Casimiro to fire a powerful shot from outside the 18-yard-box to the upper right corner of the net, the goal left Sevilla goalie Tomás Vaclik wondering after his superb diving could not save the goal.
In the added minutes of the second half, a careless ball handling by Sevilla defender Daniel Carriça led to Luka Modric highjacking of the ball, leaving him with Sevilla goalkeeper before placing the ball past Tomás Vaclik to double the lead and seal Madrid victory.

Real Madrid now moved to third position with 36 points while Sevilla dropped from third to fourth position on La Liga log.
