Nigeria Aiteo Cup Champions Rangers International continue their impressive run in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup season. The Nigeria based team defeated Rwanda Football Giants Bantu FC in the round that preceded the group stage of the competition by 2-1.
Goals from Bright Silas and Godwin Aguda in the 18th and 81st minute of the encounter gave the Nigerian side the deserved victory. The first half of the encounter ended 1-0 in favour of Rangers and doubled the lead in the 81st minute, but a goal from Bantu FC hitman Lazola Jokojowana in the 89th minute cancelled one of the goals scored by the Nigerian team to take the scoreline to 2-1 in favour of Rangers at the Setsoto Stadium in Maseru.
The second leg of the encounter will hold at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Nigeria on the 18th of January, 2019.
