According to the Sun, Arsenal are interested in signing Fernando Calero from Real Valladolid during the January transfer window.
The 23-year old Calero was instrumental to Real Valladolid's promotion to the Spanish first division in the 2017/2018 season.
He has also featured for Real Valladolid 15 times this season in the Spanish La Liga. They are currently in 12th position on the log and have played 15 games in La Liga this season, conceding just 15 goals, which is a very good record for newly promoted side.
Fernando Calero has also been instrumental to his team performance this season, most especially in the defence.
Calero joining Arsenal will serve as booster to Gunners defence line and ease the worry of injury prone Mustafi.
