Liverpool & Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has been voted as the #BBC African Footballer of the year for the second consecutive year. Salah won the award of Medhi Benatia (Morocco), Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal), Sadio Mane (Senegal), Thomas Partey (Ghana).
The shortlist was compiled by a panel of African football experts. The likes of Jay Jay Okocha, Michael Essien, Didier Drogba, Yaya Toure, and Riyad Mahrez are previous winners of the prestigious award.
Liverpool forward Salah, 26, won the Premier league Golden boot with 32 goals in May and likewise scored both of Egypt World Cup goals, 40% of their all time total at the tournament.
