Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund stuns Bayern Munich in a five-goal thriller

For over five years Bayern Munich have dominated the German Bundesliga winning the title for 6 times in a row, what an achievement! But things is not going as usual for Niko Kovãc led side in the 2018/2019 Bundesliga season.
On Saturday in the German top flight, Bayern Munich were handed a surprise beaten by Borussia Dortmund, though the reigning champion were the better side with ball possession, passes and pass accuracy but not so when it comes to goalscoring as the German giants were knocked down thrice but could only rise twice.

Robert Lewandowski opened scoring for Bayern in the 26th minute of the first half and thanks to Gnabry for the assist. The first half ended 0-1 in favour of the visiting team.

The second half resumes, in the 49th minute of the encounter Marco Reus restored parity to the home side from the spot. Bayern conceded a foul as Manuel Neuer brought down Reus in his 18-yard-box, making referee Gräfe to point to the spot and Reus with the spot kick got the opener for the home side.

It was Lewandowski again who restored Bayern's lead in the 52nd minute but the determined Dortmund side levelled up in 67th with another stunning strike from Reus.
The moment of the game was in the 72nd minute when Dortmund substitute Paco Alcácer scored the winning goal for the home side, thanks to Axel Witsel for the assist. All efforts made by Bayern to restore parity to themselves failed.

After the entire match duration, it Borussia Dortmund 3-2 Bayern Munich.

Bayern are now 7 points behind Dortmund who currently top the table and 3 points behind Mönchenglabach who is in second position. Bayern Munich with 20 points from 11 game are now in third position.
