Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi will take part in the Super Eagles final Pre World Cup friendly against Czech Republic at the Rudolf-Tonn-Stadion in Austria on Wednesday.
The tough tackling midfielder has missed Super Eagles friendly games against Dr Congo and England owing to a hamstring injury.
Ndidi who has been recovering from the hamstring injury he sustained on the 28th of April in Leicester city tie against Crystal Palace has been given the green light by the Gaffer of the National Team to take part in the last friendly match so as to get him ready for the World Cup kick off in Russia.
Rohr while speaking with News Men reportedly revealed why the Midfielder did not play in the friendly match against the three lions.
"We need him (Ndidi) but we had a protocol from Leicester and my friend Claude Puel, who gave me very good information with the medical team,” said Rohr after the 2-1 loss to England."
"We followed exactly the protocol the medical team by Leicester gave to us."
“We don’t think it was the moment for him to play but he will start the next game but I hope if he plays against Czech Republic, he will be fit and ready on June 16.”
