Obasi released by Bolton Wanderers

English Championship side Bolton wanderer has released Nigerian International Chinedu Obasi after just two month of his arrival to the club.

The 31 year old who joined Bolton on a pay as you play contract in march after a trial failed to make a single appearance for the first team but he featured for the U 23 side.

According to report on the clubs official website, seven players will not be offered a new deal after the expiration of their deal on June 30.

The forward alongside six other players namely; Derik Osede, Dorian Dervite, Chris Taylor, Jem Karacan, Mark Howard and Jan Kirchhoff have been told by team manager Phil Parkinson they can leave the club and seek for contract elsewhere when their contracts expire on June 30 as their services are no longer required at the club.

And why commenting on the released player Bolton manager Phil Parkinson told the club website.

“I would like to thank the players for their contributions to Bolton Wanderers Football Club and wish them well for the future,”
