Mikel delighted to be in camp

Super Eagles Skipper John Obi Mikel is delighted to have joined up with his teammates for the Russia 2018 world cup preparation.

The midfielder arrived at the Eagles camp on Thursday to increase the number of players in camp to 29.

The former Chelsea midfielder who has previously missed the Super Eagles friendly games against Serbia and Poland due to his work permit issue at his base in China has expressed his delight upon his arrival in camp via the Super Eagles Twitter handle.

“I am happy to be here. It is a huge privilege to play with this team and represent Nigeria at the 2018 Fifa World Cup" Mikel stated.

Super Eagles will  play DR Congo on Monday 28th May at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt before they take on England on June 2nd at the Wembley Stadium and Czech Republic four days later as part of preparation for the World Cup.
