Ighalo absent as Changchun Yatai loss

Nigeria Striker Odion Jude Ighalo was absent as his Chinese club Changchun Yatai crashed out of
the Chinese FA Cup on Tuesday losing 4-3 on penalties to Division 2 League side, Sichuan Jiuniu after regulation time, it ended 1-1.

The 28 year old forward who scored four goals for his club against  Guizhou Hengfeng in a Chinese Super League game last Saturday was left out of the matchday squad, Xiao Yufeng own goal gave Sichuan Jiuniu the lead in the 44th minute but Tiancheng Tan restored parity for Changchun Yatai.

Odion Ighalo has now scored 4 goals in 7 CSL games and he is expected to return when His team face Shanghai SIPG in their next game on Saturday.
