The Abuja national stadium is set to host the upcoming International friendly match between the Super Eagles and DR Congo on the 28th of May.
According to the Sport Ministry, the game would be played in Abuja National Stadium so to give President Mohammed Buhari the avenue to grace the occasion and send the team off to Russia 2018 World Cup.
The ministry while speaking with the press made it know that everything is being done to put the pitch in good condition for the match.
“We are putting in every effort to ensure that the pitch is put in good condition to be able to host the Eagles versus DR Congo match. The Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr was also here to inspect the pitch and he is more favourable to playing here from the way he spoke.”
The Super Eagles in their preparation will also face the three lions of England at Wembley on June 2 while facing Czech few days later after the Congo game.
