Nigeria International and Portland Timber striker Fernando Adi is clamouring for a Super Eagles call up ahead of Russia 2018 World Cup later in June.
The 27 year old forward who has been in scintillating form for his major league soccer side Portland Timber this season has made known his intention to be part coach Gernot Rohr squad for Russia 2018.
Adi believed his inclusion can add more quality to the Eagles attacking prowess, “I have always expressed my desire to play for
Nigeria and I sincerely believe that my inclusion will add value to the team. I got an invitation previously but I was not listed, so I hope that soon, when I prove my worth in the 2018 MLS season, I would get another opportunity.”
The striker who was once handed a call up in 2016 for 2017 AFCON qualifier match against Egypt couldn't make his debut then because he was an unused substitute in the encounter.
Adi believes his inclusion can be the right recipe needed by the Eagles to solve their striking problem.
