Matic Volley fires United past Crystal Palace

Nemanja Matic stunning effort fired Manchester United to victory against Crystal Palace.

Manchester United came from two goals down to defeat Crystal Palace 2-3 at Selhurst park on Monday night.

Crystal Palace took the lead in the 11th minute of the game after Andres Townsend stunning effort took a deflection off Victor Lindelof with United sloppy in possession in the first half.

Van Aanholt got the second for the home side after a quick free kick that allowed him fire a shot past David De Gea at far post, but a resurgent Manchester United side got back into the game with goals from Chris Smalling and Lukaku putting them back on level while De Gea made a great save to deny Benteke from getting the 3rd goal for palace.

Crystal Palace hope for a draw was dashed when Nemanja Matic scored a stunning volley to give Manchester United the win with two minutes left on the clock play.

United are now back to second position on the log with just 2 points above 3rd place Liverpool who they will be facing in there next Premier League game.
